Lately, one of the biggest parts of my ministry is reconnecting with women. As we work through and plan our next incoming group of Girls for our Girls at Risk school we want to continually connect with the women around us, whether they are incoming students, graduated students or whole families of people we have come to love.

We do a lot of visiting, sitting, listening and mentoring in our work here and it really is one of the joys of my heart as well. I love to sit with the women who are dear to us and to hear them tell their own stories, to share in the highs and lows. To have them openly ask for prayer and to journey through big decisions with them. I get to ask cultural questions, to dig deeper into their own cultures, traditions, religions and preconceived notions. We often laugh about just how different our preconceived ideas are between Western and Eastern cultures.

Below are just a few of the photos of the precious women I have been honoured to spend time with this past month. You will notice a running theme of a certain itty bitty lady who accompanies me most places these days too! She is a trooper and doesn’t mind being passed from lady to lady who all want to tap her cheeks and give her kisses and cluck over her like Aunties all over the world know to do!
