The last push…

On Saturday and Sunday some of us were at the Centre most of the day making a last push to get it ready for classes Monday! Our internet has been down, but I wanted to send you this quick update. Look for more soon on the opening!

Organizing and marking all class books

Washing all the windows and doors. Thanks for helping Fatima!

Taking a quick lunch break when the T family brought us tacos! Thanks guys!

Unloading 60 machines and assorted bags of fabric, needles, yarn etc. Some of the girls from the program came to help too. They are getting excited!

Setting up all the desks. The chairs arrived late that night and still need to be painted this coming weekend, but everything got there in time! Doesn’t it look great!

Now we are ready to open our doors! Pray with us that this centre will be a huge blessing to these girls and that we will quickly iron out all the kinks!

It really looks good and I'm so excited that this vision is starting to come to life. You all have worked so hard. We are looking forward to hearing how things go as the girls get "into" the program. Just as an aside I was wondering about the story behind the logo (symbolism/colours etc) and who was responsible for the final draft. What a colourful addition to the room!!
